Attention Applied Users Who Are Imaging!

In release 7.1.x, Applied added an encryption function to all items you attach in Applied. Let me explain.

When you attach an item in Applied, the Applied system encrypts it and the ONLY way you can view that item is from within Applied. We STRONGLY believe this is a very bad move for you. Should you ever need to view those items outside of Applied or should you ever convert to another system, these items will not be viewable!

The good news is you can turn this function OFF. Simply call Applied Support and let them know you do not want your images and documents encrypted. By default, encrypting is turned on. You physically have to turn it off.

An Applied user offered the following information ...

On the Home Base screen (tams main screen), click on tools, (drop down window appears), choose system setup.

In settings (listed in alphabetical order) scroll to the "E" section and check box that says "Efiling - Encryption Off"

It is on by default.... Have to check box to turn it off.
